Drive Theory Studios

Effective Date: 4/6/2026 | Last Updated: 4/6/2026

Drive Theory Studios ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Curator One mobile application (the "Service"). This page describes how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you use our Service.

Permissions and Device Access

Curator One may request the following permissions:

Camera
  • Purpose: To scan barcodes so we can look up product information and add items to your collection.
  • Images or video from the camera are used for barcode recognition in the moment; we do not use the camera for unrelated purposes.
Internet
  • Purpose: To fetch product data, to sign in and sync your collection with our backend, and to operate subscription and account features.

Account Sign-In

You may sign in using Sign in with Google or Sign in with Apple. When you use these options, Google or Apple may share with us information they provide as part of the sign-in flow (for example, a unique account identifier and, depending on your choices, your name or email address). We use this information to create and secure your account and to associate your collection with you.

Please review the privacy policies of these providers:

Collection Data and Cloud Storage (Supabase)

Your collection and related account data are stored using Supabase, our backend database and authentication infrastructure. This allows your collection to sync across devices when you are signed in. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and handled according to Supabase's security practices.

For details on how Supabase processes data on our behalf, see: Supabase Privacy Policy.

Subscriptions (RevenueCat)

Subscription purchases and status are managed with RevenueCat, which helps us verify entitlements across the Apple App Store and Google Play. RevenueCat may process purchase-related identifiers and subscription events as part of providing this service.

Learn more: RevenueCat Privacy Policy.

How We Use Your Information

  • To provide barcode scanning, product lookup, and collection features
  • To authenticate you and sync your collection when you use an account
  • To process and validate subscriptions
  • To maintain, secure, and improve the Service

Data Sharing

We share data with service providers only as needed to operate the Service, including Google and Apple (sign-in), Supabase (hosting and database), RevenueCat (subscriptions), and app store platforms (Google Play / Apple) for purchases. We do not sell your personal information.

Data Security

  • We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit (HTTPS/TLS) between the app and our backend.
  • Access to your account and collection is protected by your chosen sign-in method and our backend security controls.

Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You can revoke camera or network permissions in your device settings (note that some features may not work without them). To delete your account or ask questions about your data, contact us using the email below.

Children's Privacy

Curator One is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us so we can delete it.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and change the "Last Updated" date when we do.
